I was touched by the content of the module Mission and Migration presented by Sr. Ma. Teresa Mueda, DC.  It basically gave light to my past experience as an immigrant.

I was an immigrant moving from one place to another, moving from East Timor to the Philippines in 1999.

Only this week I was able to come into real understanding about migration as the term is defined by the dictionary. Immigration prior to this module was an abstract concept for me. Yes, there are many names, approaches, and views on migration. What follows is my personal reflection and feeling on the subject.

Last September 7 and 8, Sister Kathleen Coyle, SCC, was our speaker at the EMC. She spoke about Mary and the Mission of the Church. What follows is my personal reflection.

Every person is born for a mission. The moment God breaths life in our being, our journey and mission in life are set. All that is asked of us is to participate faithfully in that mission throughout our life’s journey.

Our speaker for the new module “Social Analysis” was Fr. Daniel Pilario CM. From this module I learned and understood many things about social analysis as a pastoral tool for mission. The most important thing that I learned is the pastoral cycle which is to ‘See, Judge and Act’. This module encouraged and inspired me to carry out social analysis according to the pastoral cycle in my ministry.

MISSION OF THE FAMILY

I was happy listening to the talk on mission of the family. It touched my heart and I want to share it with family. Firstly, I thank God for sending Dr. Jose De Mesa to Euntes.  His talk made me know more of myself and made me understand my parents. I came from a large family and I felt they don’t like me.

EXPOSURE EXPERIENCE

 I am Arturo Malabarbas and a participant to the EMC long course on Mission Formation and Spirituality. As part of our study, from time to time, we are offered chances for exposures in different fields.

Last Saturday, August 29, 2009 we went to Akay Kalingan and Pangarap Centers under the programs of Katilimbang Para Sa Kalambuan, Inc.
