We are all missionaries and, as such, we are called to be missionaries to our brothers and sisters. Now, if we look at Mary as Mother of God, we realize that she has a great role in helping men and women to maintain their relationship with God.

Last September 7 and 8, Sister Kathleen Coyle, SCC, was our speaker at the EMC. She spoke about Mary and the Mission of the Church. What follows is my personal reflection.

Every person is born for a mission. The moment God breaths life in our being, our journey and mission in life are set. All that is asked of us is to participate faithfully in that mission throughout our life’s journey.

SOCIAL ANALYSIS

Our speaker for the new module “Social Analysis” was Fr. Daniel Pilario CM. From this module I learned and understood many things about social analysis as a pastoral tool for mission. The most important thing that I learned is the pastoral cycle which is to ‘See, Judge and Act’. This module encouraged and inspired me to carry out social analysis according to the pastoral cycle in my ministry.

MISSION OF THE FAMILY

I was happy listening to the talk on mission of the family. It touched my heart and I want to share it with family. Firstly, I thank God for sending Dr. Jose De Mesa to Euntes.  His talk made me know more of myself and made me understand my parents. I came from a large family and I felt they don’t like me.

EXPOSURE EXPERIENCE

 I am Arturo Malabarbas and a participant to the EMC long course on Mission Formation and Spirituality. As part of our study, from time to time, we are offered chances for exposures in different fields.

Last Saturday, August 29, 2009 we went to Akay Kalingan and Pangarap Centers under the programs of Katilimbang Para Sa Kalambuan, Inc.

CHRONICLE OF THE 5TH, 6TH AND 7TH MODULES

On Monday, August 3, we welcomed Father GIL ALINSANGAN, SSP, the creator and editor of the Sambuhay, a four page leaflet detailing the Sunday Liturgy with a short commentary, an instrument of the pastoral ministry of the Priests and Brothers of the Society of St. Paul (SSP). In his week long module, he presented ‘The Pastoral approach to the ministry of the Word’.

It is clear how every missionary considers the Word of God central both for his/her personal life and his/ her evangelizing ministry.
